About the position

UKG is seeking an experienced Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic Digital team to play a key role in transforming our enterprise systems landscape. This role provides an opportunity to partner with UKG business functions to analyze business requirements and understand desired outcomes. As a Lead Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of new solutions that deliver business value as well as supporting existing software solutions in a complex systems landscape. Qualified candidates must possess experience conducting requirements elicitation, writing user stories, creating solution designs, and building and testing system solutions that meet the business need. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex environment, strong communication, collaboration, flexibility, innovative thinking, and self-motivation are required for success. Lead Solution Engineers are expected to contribute to strategic roadmap decisions and identify innovative opportunities to transform UKG's business solutions for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation discussions with cross-functional business stakeholders to understand current pain points and desired outcomes of requested solutions.
  • Document and elaborate user stories or business requirements documents.
  • Execute responsibilities with an understanding of the product vision, strategic objectives, and priorities.
  • Design new/enhanced systems solutions that are technically sound, deliver business value and meet desired outcomes.
  • Build, test, and implement clean, efficient, and maintainable solutions based on UKG requirements.
  • Define and execute test cases, provide functional solution demonstrations and lead user testing sessions.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to assess new cross-functional designs of new features and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring high-quality service operations.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications and systems.
  • Manage the execution and delivery of features and projects, ensuring successful and timely completion.
  • Provide clear communication to team members and business stakeholders related to requirements, issues, and solution delivery.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Maintain the health and quality of services and incidents, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Keep abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends including delivery through a DevOps Model.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software applications and systems.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of business systems analysis or professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of global ERP experience, including understanding of several Financial processes: order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, fixed assets, general ledger accounting, treasury and revenue recognition.
  • 3+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP or equivalent system.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O capabilities, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
  • Experience in agile development practices and DevOps principles.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
  • End to End experience with vendor products, system integration, and data migration projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with any of the following systems: D365 F&O, FastPath, Blackline, Oracle EBS, Salesforce, SK Global Treasury Automation Suite, Thomson Reuters OneSource, Exflow AP Automation, Zoura RevPro.
  • Experience with foundational data, such as Accounts and Contacts.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O MB310 Certification.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools.
