About The Position

The Lead Data Engineer - MS Stack is responsible for orchestrating, deploying, maintaining, and scaling cloud or on-premise infrastructure focused on big data and platform data management. This role emphasizes reliability, automation, and performance, leading the development of solutions that transform the company's platforms to deliver data-driven insights and value.

Requirements

• 8 - 10+ years' experience in Data Architecture/Engineering/Validation.
• Must have a healthcare background.
• Experience with MS Stack - MS Azure, Databricks, Data Factory, Azure Synapse.
• Experience standing up a data platform and building data domain architecture.
• Ability to define and translate business requirements and document KPIs.
• Experience developing and updating ETL/ELT scripts.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of at least one programming language (i.e., SQL, NoSQL, Python).
• Understanding of database design and implementation concepts.
• Knowledge of data exchange formats and data movement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to design, configure, implement, monitor, and manage all aspects of the Data Integration Framework.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure systems including data access APIs and data warehouses or data lakes.
• Provide guidance and perform work related to modeling Data Warehouse solutions in the cloud or on-premise.
• Oversee the delivery of engineering data initiatives and projects, supporting long-term data initiatives and ad-hoc analysis.
• Enforce best practices for data auditing, scalability, reliability, and application performance.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
