Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate an end-to-end data platform for pharmaceutical research & development.
  • Innovate and shape platform strategy to enable new scientific areas within research & development.
  • Collaborate with Data Product Owners to develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake or Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Streamsets.
  • Understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data platforms and solutions in collaboration with data scientists and analysts.
  • Implement data integration, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Monitor and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Expertise in Snowflake or Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Streamsets.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, test automation, and DevOps practices.
  • Proven track record of architecting and building scalable data platforms using cloud services.
  • Skilled in AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks for data analytics and visualization.
  • Experience in optimizing distributed data solutions for batch and streaming processing.
  • Authority in Data Modeling, Data Migration, Data Cleansing, and ETL Processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence solution development.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL programming.
  • Proficiency in test automation and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with DataOps development and automation.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and tools.
  • Experience in healthcare or a regulated industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in agile software development teams.
