Scripta insights is a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare IT company focused on lowering pharmacy benefit costs for payers (health plans, self-insured employers, and their employees). We used sophisticated data analytics to identify savings opportunities making prescription drugs more affordable to our clients, and their employees, helping to improve quality of life and quality of outcome. Scripta Insights is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our innovative team that is dedicated to leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and enhance our offerings. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data science strategy and developing cutting-edge analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities, using your expertise in machine learning and statistical analysis to derive actionable insights. Your leadership will guide a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data models that push the boundaries of what we can achieve with analytics. Furthermore, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that insights are not only derived but effectively communicated to inform business strategies. Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytic models and algorithms.
• Define our agentic LLM strategy to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams on improving our drug recommendations, to help our members continue to save money.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure.
• Build out our data science function, partnering with technology leadership.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Develop and enforce best practices in data science, including model validation, testing, and reproducibility.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, Master's or PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
• Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization tools.
• Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with statistical modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Presto/Trino, Spark, Databricks, or similar platforms.
