About the position

We are seeking a skilled Lead Engineer to oversee and manage our Instrumentation and Controls team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of process control instrumentation systems that meet our clients' needs. This role is crucial as the Lead Engineer will lead and mentor a team of professionals, guiding them in the design and delivery of quality systems to our clients. The position requires a strong focus on project management, technical expertise, and the ability to foster collaboration within the team and with clients. In this role, the Lead Engineer will manage a team of professionals tasked with designing and implementing process control instrumentation systems. This includes overseeing the development of project proposals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. The Lead Engineer will also collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and develop custom solutions that align with those requirements. Compliance with industry standards and regulations is paramount, and the Lead Engineer will conduct reviews of work produced by team members to ensure quality and accuracy. Additionally, the Lead Engineer will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly. Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to source equipment and materials will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that the team has access to the best resources available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of professionals to design and implement process control instrumentation systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer License
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering
  • Experience with Autodesk Build Systems Software, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, PLC, HMI
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
