About the position

The primary objective of the Lead Financial Analyst, Capital is to support the annual and strategic financial planning, monthly forecasting, and reporting processes for $100M+ of Capital Spending across FBIN in an efficient and sustainable manner. This role will also partner to deliver against financial targets and appropriately communicate risks and opportunities to the leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead the Capital consolidation, messaging of actuals, forecast, plan, and reporting materials for Supply Chain Month End Package, Business Reviews, and Quarterly Capital Expenditure Schedules
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly commentary with business drivers for forecast changes
  • Reconciliation of monthly capital actuals to cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with FBIN leaders to build annual Plan and monthly Forecast for capital across FBIN
  • Continuously challenge capital projects to meet or exceed company KPIs
  • Continue to identify and implement process improvements to consolidation, forecasting and reporting
  • Provide DCF creation support and review across the organization as needed
  • Review all Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) for adherence to capital policy and GAAP
  • Challenge all CERs for completeness and accuracy during review process
  • Tracking of project spending against approved budget
  • Execute post completion audits (PCAs) to validate financial assumptions of completed projects
  • Act as subject matter expert for capital management activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience is required, preferably in a branded goods manufacturing company
  • Self-starter who has had success working in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills- written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be a team player with the ability to think conceptually, be flexible and strategic
  • Have an enterprise-wide mindset and seek to influence business partners to do the same
  • Ability to engage with and work across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners
