About the position

The Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design, and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control, and SCADA projects specifically for water and wastewater utilities. This role involves interfacing with clients, leading execution of I&C design projects, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are monitored and controlled effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design, and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control, and SCADA projects.
  • Interface with client representatives to reflect client preferences on deliverables.
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects.
  • Coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings, perform field investigations, and attend factory acceptance testing.
  • Help resolve I&C client and construction issues.
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets.
  • Assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting.
  • 4 years' experience in the water/wastewater industry.
  • 2 years' experience in project management and business development.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or in active pursuit of such registration.
