The Lead Lifeguard position is a seasonal role within the Parks & Recreation department at Lake Spivey. The job involves performing duties that require independence, accountability, and responsibility. Lifeguards will be responsible for testing water levels and safety equipment daily, ensuring the safety of visitors, and overseeing the conduct and performance of other lifeguards. The employment typically lasts for up to 5 months, with a requirement to work weekends and holidays. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid license or ID and Social Security card at the time of the interview. If hired, candidates must pay for and attend a lifeguard training class and purchase a uniform. Preference will be given to those who already hold the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
