About The Position

The Lead Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines, ensuring efficient production processes while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of molding machine controls and the ability to perform inspections and maintenance on equipment. The operator will work under minimal supervision and is expected to communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production deadlines and issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years of experience with injection molding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Project.
• Experience with thermoplastics and silicone over molding processes.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of machine operating experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Engel and Milacron injection molding machines and tooling.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts using various inspection equipment.
• Change over materials and tooling (molds) as needed.
• Document processes, parameters, and work instructions accurately.
• Identify tooling and material needs to enhance efficiency in processes and workflows.
• Record operational entries in logs and execute mold changeovers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workplace.
