About the position
The Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief at SERVPRO of Cape Coral South/North Fort Myers is responsible for overseeing job and crew management in disaster restoration projects. This role emphasizes excellent customer service, effective communication with insurance adjusters, and proper documentation of work performed. The technician will also train new employees and resolve conflicts professionally on-site.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of job and crew management.
- Monitor job sites daily to maintain work schedules.
- Explain the mitigation process to customers clearly.
- Communicate necessary work to insurance adjusters and project managers.
- Document all work done according to insurance requirements.
- Handle customer interactions with respect and professionalism.
- Train new or temporary employees on procedures and protocols.
- Resolve conflicts on-site in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and vehicle.
- Disaster restoration experience.
- Experience in fire/smoke cleaning, water mitigation, and mold remediation.
- Understanding of restoration equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of building materials and home design.
- Comfortable with electronic documentation of water loss.
- Team-oriented, positive, and professional attitude.
- Understanding of 24/7 emergency service responsibilities.
- Ability to lift 65 lbs.
- Ability to work on call/back up rotation.
Nice-to-haves
- IICRC certifications.
- Previous lead/crew chief experience.
- Experience communicating directly with insurance adjusters.
- Carpet cleaning and duct cleaning experience.
- Experience using monitoring software such as Drybook or Moisture Mapper.
