About The Position

The Lead Software Engineer - Python/Azure position at Enterprise Mobility involves leading the development and operations of rental solutions on the Enterprise Data Lake. This role focuses on designing technical solutions that provide insights into the competitive landscape of rental products, defining technical direction, and providing leadership to a team of engineers. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a commitment to operational excellence, ensuring solutions are optimized and adhere to security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience with Python and SQL.
• 2+ years' experience administering Azure Cloud Resources such as Data Factory, DevOps, EventHub, and Function Apps.
• 2+ years' experience with cloud data management using Databricks.
• 2+ years' experience building Data APIs.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Professional experience in identifying solution needs and performing risk analysis.
• Ability to build and foster relationships, including coaching and mentoring team members.
• Proven ability to operate autonomously and balance strategic and tactical planning.
• Experience leading enterprise data governance delivery and operations.
• Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years' experience with API Gateway services such as Kong.
• 2+ years' experience with Scala.

Responsibilities

• Design technical solutions that provide daily insights to the competitive landscape of Rental Products.
• Define technical direction and solution roadmaps for new applications in the Rental domain.
• Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers delivering new Data APIs, Structures, and Solutions.
• Translate business requirements into solutions that align with the overall Data Strategy vision.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the Rental domain for Data Engineering.
• Ensure solutions are designed with operational excellence and performance tuning in mind.
• Lead estimating efforts in project planning and provide technical leadership to project teams.
• Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to support client solutions.
• Evaluate stakeholder needs to provide high-quality solutions that align with customer expectations.
• Mentor and coach other engineers in implementing Rental data solutions.
• Incorporate security and compliance in all decisions and continuously improve security posture.
