About the position

The Lead, Talent and Employee Experience at SHRM is responsible for driving impactful people strategies across the organization. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, fostering a high-performance culture, and guiding organizational transformation. The Lead acts as a key advisor to leaders and HR colleagues, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational changes and optimizing employee structures and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to assess and improve team performance, productivity, and organizational alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness, focusing on talent management, performance metrics, and workforce planning.
  • Measure and report on the impact of organizational effectiveness initiatives, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to design and redesign organizational structures, roles, and workflows to support strategic growth and scalability.
  • Conduct organizational assessments and recommend structural adjustments to optimize efficiency and agility.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, fostering productive relationships and addressing workplace issues promptly.
  • Provide expert guidance on conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions while ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Design and execute change management strategies for large-scale projects, including organizational restructuring and technology rollouts.
  • Support communication and training efforts related to change initiatives, ensuring all levels of the organization are engaged.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Hold a SHRM-CP or SCP or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in organizational effectiveness, organizational design, employee relations, and change management.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful organizational effectiveness, organizational design, and change management programs.
  • Experience with HR systems and metrics, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven experience in complex employee relations investigations; demonstrated knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
