About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is set to open in early 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, establishing a robust system of care for all District residents. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking a Lead Technologist- Nuclear Medicine who will work as the Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist, reporting to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. The ideal candidate will administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies and procedures, complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations, and perform clinical diagnostic PET scans along with the associated computer interactions. Additionally, the technologist will perform Computed Tomography imaging as ordered in conjunction with PET exams.

Responsibilities

  • Administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Perform clinical diagnostic PET scans and associated computer interactions.
  • Perform Computed Tomography imaging as ordered in conjunction with PET exams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an A.M.A approved Nuclear Medicine Program required.
  • Registered NM/ PET technologist with ARRT (CT) and CNMT.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered NM and acute care experience preferred.
  • Current ARRT or CNMT required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
