Resideo is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to support testing methods and capabilities for new electronic and mechanical products for our Air/Comfort portfolio at our Golden Valley facility.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, design, modify, and guide test procedures and supporting equipment.
  • Tailor test plans and define pass/fail criteria to best evaluate new products.
  • Investigate and analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Set up and maintain test benches and equipment, ensuring proper integration and functionality for accurate testing outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough verification and validation processes to confirm that products meet all specifications and customer requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and customer support teams to address product-failures, improve robustness, and define appropriate pass/fail criteria.
  • Collaborate and help guide test technicians to ensure consistency in executing test procedures.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and product design.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with electronic and/or mechanical test engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read schematics and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with LabVIEW and other relevant testing languages.
  • Proactive individuals who take initiative and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information and provide informed recommendations.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and the capability to manage complex tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting test results, and writing/documenting reports.
  • Experience in test automation and robotic processes, with hands-on experience in relevant tools.
