About The Position

The Lead Testing Engineer at the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is responsible for overseeing software testing and analysis, ensuring the quality and readiness of software products. This role involves leading a team of testing analysts, developing quality assurance standards, and communicating testing strategies and risks to stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to manage complex testing activities across various projects.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• Three years of professional experience in software applications development, systems analysis or design, testing and quality documentation and execution, or business analysis and process design.
• One of the three years must include experience as a team leader on a testing or quality team.

• Experience in information systems work including computer programming or information systems analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develops or specifies quality assurance standards, measurements, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
• Develops testing guidelines addressing database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Communicates risks associated with the agreed test strategy and test plan to clients, users, and stakeholders.
• Defines testing estimates in terms of complexity of product to provide visibility into the completion of test execution.
• Reviews business requirements to create test plans, test scripts, and/or test cases.
• Plans test schedules or strategies in accordance with project objectives, commitments, and product solution methodology.
• Creates, provides input, and/or delivers the User Acceptance Testing Plan to gain consensus from stakeholders on the acceptance testing approach.
• Uses test case management tool to enter or update test cases and report progress.
• Uses defect management tool to enter or update defects and report progress.
