About the position

The Lead Vehicle Operations Support Specialist at Cox Automotive is responsible for overseeing the daily operational flow of the mechanic shop, ensuring high standards for mechanical repairs, and managing the reconditioning process of vehicles. This role involves delegating tasks to technicians, reviewing mechanical notes, and making final decisions on vehicle inspections. The specialist will also monitor aged inventory reports and prioritize work based on standard operating procedures (SOP).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operational flow of mechanic shop
• Delegate work to technicians and parts coordinator
• Review arbitrations and missed opportunities with technicians
• Ensure consistency in mechanical notes across the board
• Verify and address all concerns in inspection processes and make final decisions on pass or fail
• Prioritize work based on SOP needs by reviewing aged inventory reports
• Follow vehicles closely throughout the reconditioning process to ensure timely and high-quality mechanical repairs
• Monitor and delegate mechanical arbitrations for inspections
• Enter inspection results into Salesforce

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in a related field
• OR a combination of any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience
• OR 9 years' experience in a related field
