About The Position

The Learning Program Manager at the University of Washington is a full-time, permanent role responsible for developing, managing, and delivering educational curriculum aligned with the organizational strategy of University Advancement. This position requires strong instructional design, program management, and facilitation skills to enhance employee and leadership development programs across the organization. The role involves conducting needs analysis, evaluating existing programs, and fostering collaboration to innovate training delivery methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, content management, human resources or related field.
  • Four years of experience in content development, training or related field.
  • Experience designing and facilitating courses and programs.
  • Competency in adult-learning theory and instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, and AGILE.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude with learning new technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end life cycle of employee and leadership development programs.
  • Lead assigned learning programs by planning, scheduling and managing logistics for training events.
  • Promote learning programs through communications and updates on intranet pages.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning programs using various assessment methods.
  • Build relationships across the organization to ensure the relevancy of learning programs.
  • Optimize and revamp curricula, curating learning and development resources.
  • Design and develop engaging courseware using various learning modalities.
  • Utilize rapid eLearning and video creation tools for course development.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and adhere to accessibility requirements.
  • Identify training needs through assessments and consultations with stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary facilitator for assigned learning programs.
  • Conduct training sessions virtually or in-person as needed.
  • Assess learner feedback and implement changes to training delivery.
  • Model diversity and inclusion excellence in training programs.
  • Accurately scope project efforts, resources, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using project management software.
  • Manage content development workflow processes and special projects.
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, events, and meetings.
  • Manage L&D equipment and learning supplies inventory.
  • Help maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).
