About the position

We are looking for a capable Leasing Agent to lease and support the growth and profitability of a multi-family home complex. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in presenting the property and its amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants, ensuring a positive tenant experience through excellent customer service. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is willing to learn and take on more responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, punctuality, and the ability to manage time effectively. A flexible schedule is a plus, as the role may require working on weekends as needed. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for advertising available units and the property on various media platforms, determining the needs and housing requirements of prospective tenants, and accepting rental applications. They will screen prospective tenants and negotiate leasing terms, acting as a liaison between tenants, corporate staff, property owners, and government regulators. It is essential for the Leasing Agent to remain knowledgeable about housing industry trends and support maintenance staff by issuing work orders, conducting periodic property inspections, and scheduling maintenance appointments. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The position requires a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, iTunes, and Adobe Acrobat, along with the ability to work under pressure and utilize problem-solving skills. The Leasing Agent will work in both indoor and outdoor settings, adapting to various weather conditions based on business needs. The role may also require the ability to work on short notice, depending on business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Present property and amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants.
  • Advertise available units and property on various media platforms.
  • Determine the needs, living standards, and housing requirements of prospective tenants.
  • Accept rental applications, screen prospective tenants, and negotiate leasing terms.
  • Act as a liaison between tenants, corporate staff, property owners, and government regulators.
  • Remain knowledgeable in housing industry and market trends.
  • Support maintenance staff by issuing work orders, conducting periodic property inspections, and scheduling maintenance appointments.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Driver's License required.
  • Customer service experience preferred (1 year).
  • Proven work experience in property management is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in Fair Credit and Equal Housing regulations is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, iTunes, and Adobe Acrobat.
