About the position

The Leasing Agent at INDUS ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES LLC is responsible for facilitating property tours and showcasing available apartments to prospective tenants. This role involves leasing apartments to qualified applicants, renewing leases with current residents, and performing various managerial duties as directed by the Property Manager. The Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in the marketing of available units, ensuring that the property is presented in the best light to attract potential renters. In addition to conducting property tours, the Leasing Agent greets prospects and professionally presents the features and benefits of the community. They are responsible for securing lease agreements from qualified prospects and examining the property to inform maintenance employees of any issues that need addressing. The Leasing Agent screens prospective residents to ensure they meet eligibility requirements and assists with the completion of lease applications, including verification of application information. Engagement with residents is also a key part of the role, as the Leasing Agent provides information and addresses any complaints or concerns. They complete resident move-ins and move-outs in compliance with company procedures and conduct unit inspections to ensure that the property maintains high levels of quality. Additionally, the Leasing Agent assists the Property Manager in facilitating lease renewals by maintaining communication with residents and organizing community-related events and activities. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to maintaining the community's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Advertises available units and conducts property tours as part of marketing activities
  • Greets prospects by professionally presenting the features and benefits of the community
  • Secures lease agreements from qualified prospects
  • Examines property and informs maintenance employees of issues
  • Screens prospect residents to ensure they meet eligibility requirements
  • Completes lease applications and assists with verification of application information
  • Engages with residents to provide information and address complaints and concerns
  • Completes resident move-ins and move-outs in compliance with all company procedures
  • Conducts unit inspections to ensure they maintain high levels of quality
  • Assists the Property Manager in facilitating renewals by communicating with residents
  • Organizes and participates in community-related events and activities on the community
  • All other duties assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have six months customer service experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of leasing experience a plus
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Effective interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong computer technology skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
