About the position

As a Leasing Agent at Bridge Property Management, you will play a crucial role in welcoming prospective residents to our community. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and qualifying potential tenants, providing tours of the property, and presenting the various features and amenities that our community has to offer. You will be responsible for leasing apartments, which involves closing sales, securing lease agreements, and processing applications for approval, including conducting rental history, credit checks, and background checks. Your ability to follow up with prospects regarding their application status will be essential in ensuring a smooth leasing process. In addition to leasing responsibilities, you will assist the property manager in collecting delinquent rents and planning resident functions to foster a sense of community. You will also be tasked with gathering information about market competition in the area to help inform our leasing strategies. It is vital that you adhere to Bridge Property Management's policies and procedures, as well as comply with Fair Housing regulations and other state and federal laws. Safety is a priority, and you will be expected to follow all safety procedures and report any hazards to your supervisor. This position may also involve special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by management. This is a full-time position that requires you to work in person at our Gaithersburg, MD location. You will need to be available to work weekends as needed, and you must be able to relocate to the area before starting work. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in property management, as no prior experience is required, although organizational skills, leadership qualities, and time management abilities will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and qualify prospective residents.
  • Provide tours of the community and present features and amenities.
  • Lease apartments, including closing sales and securing lease agreements.
  • Process applications for approval, including rental history, credit checks, and background checks.
  • Follow up with prospects regarding their application status.
  • Input information into computer systems accurately and timely.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for residents to move in on the agreed date.
  • Assist the manager in the collection of delinquent rents.
  • Assist in planning resident functions.
  • Gather information about market competition in the area.
  • Follow Bridge policies and procedures and comply with Fair Housing, state and federal laws.
  • Follow all safety procedures and notify the supervisor of safety hazards.
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
