About the position

We are seeking to hire a Leasing Agent to join our property management team in San Antonio, TX. As a Leasing Agent, you will play a key role in driving occupancy and ensuring our residents receive exceptional service. This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $18. Your primary responsibilities will include leasing vacant apartments, guiding prospective tenants through the application process, and developing marketing strategies to attract new residents. You will also manage lease renewals, conduct property inspections, and provide outstanding customer service to both prospective and current residents. This role requires a strong understanding of fair housing regulations and excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with a diverse clientele. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the property management software and adhering to all company policies and fair housing laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lease vacant apartments by conducting property tours, following up with leads, and converting inquiries into leases.
  • Guide prospective tenants through the application process, including collecting necessary documents and conducting applicant screenings.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new residents, including online postings and social media campaigns.
  • Manage lease renewals and implement resident retention initiatives, ensuring a high level of satisfaction among current residents.
  • Inspect vacant apartments to ensure they are ready for showings and move-ins.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to both prospective and current residents, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain competitive rental rates and attract qualified applicants.
  • Collect rent payments and deposits in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Handle move-out procedures, including assessing charges and coordinating the make-ready process for unit turns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all prospects, applicants, and residents in the property management software.
  • Adhere to all fair housing laws and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Outgoing personality with experience in property leasing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of leasing practices, fair housing laws, and local market trends
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Must be able to work Saturdays.
