About the position

The Leasing Consultant serves as the primary property sales representative and resident customer service liaison, playing a crucial role in the leasing process and customer satisfaction. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring a positive experience for potential and current residents. The Leasing Consultant is expected to greet customers warmly, offer refreshments, and effectively communicate the benefits of the properties available for lease. This role requires the ability to perform all leasing functions, including requesting deposits and completing necessary paperwork. In addition to sales responsibilities, the Leasing Consultant must respond to calls and inquiries from customers, residents, and vendors in a professional manner. This includes completing welcome cards, recording all traffic, and following up with customers to ensure their needs are met. The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for qualifying customers according to property guidelines and adhering to all Fair Housing and OSHA laws, ensuring compliance with legal standards in the leasing process. The position requires the collection of all necessary new lease paperwork, fees, and deposits, while maintaining a professional and friendly office atmosphere. Daily inspections of model units, vacant apartments, and the office environment are essential to ensure readiness for potential residents. The Leasing Consultant must stay informed about local market trends and conditions, updating the Market Survey on a monthly basis. Accurate maintenance of resident and leasing records is critical, along with the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly leasing and marketing reports as required. Furthermore, the Leasing Consultant will accept service requests and route them to maintenance, conducting follow-ups with residents to ensure satisfaction. Regular property inspections, including picking up litter and reporting service needs to the manager or maintenance team, are also part of the role. The Leasing Consultant is expected to adhere to all local and state laws while complying with the company's policies and procedures. Additionally, this position involves assisting other employees in various apartment management functions and participating in ongoing training as assigned, along with any additional responsibilities that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and offer refreshments while selling property benefits.

Requirements
