About the position

Opus Communities LLC is seeking a full-time Leasing Agent to join our team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will be the face of our company, interacting with potential and current residents to provide exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting tours of available units, answering questions from potential renters, and performing background and credit checks to ensure applicants meet our leasing criteria. You will also prepare leasing documents for new residents and manage the collection of security deposits, application fees, and rent payments. Building rapport with current tenants is essential, as is maintaining the cleanliness and organization of community facilities such as mailrooms, fitness centers, and laundry rooms. You will be responsible for keeping residents informed about changes to rental agreements and upcoming property maintenance projects, ensuring a smooth and pleasant living experience for all.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tours of available rental units for potential residents.
  • Perform background and credit checks on applicants.
  • Prepare leasing documents for new residents.
  • Collect security deposits, application fees, and rent payments.
  • Build rapport with current tenants to provide personalized service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of community facilities.
  • Inform residents about changes to rental agreements and property maintenance projects.

Requirements

  • Current real estate license or the ability to work towards one.
  • Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices.
  • Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • One year or more of sales experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate and multifamily terminology is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Quick problem-solving skills.
