About the position

As a Leasing Agent at Blue Magma Residential, LLC, you will work under the overall direction of the Community Manager to show and lease apartments to prospective residents. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the property's marketing plan as directed by the Community Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring that model apartments and target apartments are ready for showings, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and being aware of the property's curb appeal. This position requires a thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, and all community policies, as well as the ability to effectively communicate these to potential residents. In addition to showing apartments, you will complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits. You will need to be fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and all amenities of the property. Maintaining contact with apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational materials is also part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to conduct outreach marketing at least once a week and develop a resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager. Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports, and related information is essential, as is the courteous handling of resident requests and complaints. Your professional appearance and attitude are crucial, as you will be representing the company to potential residents. You will also assist the Assistant Manager in the collection of delinquent rents, ensuring that all resident and property files are properly maintained. This role is ideal for someone with a strong customer service background and a passion for helping others find their new home.

Responsibilities

  • Show and lease apartments to prospective residents.
  • Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits.
  • Ensure model apartments and target apartments are ready for show.

  • Be knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.
  • Stay informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations, and amenities of the property.
  • Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material.
  • Shop competitive properties to understand market trends.
  • Develop knowledge of application information required and screening processes.
  • Conduct outreach marketing at least once per week.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager.
  • Process all required administrative forms, reports, and related information efficiently and timely.
  • Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year working in the apartment industry.
  • Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the Internet, and Resman management software.
  • Bilingual skills are helpful.
