About the position

Laurel Village, a prominent downtown Minneapolis apartment community, is seeking a Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. We are searching for someone whose skills and talents can contribute to our success in maintaining an amazing environment for both our residents and employees. The Leasing Agent will assist in all functions necessary to effectively operate the community, working independently and as part of a team to perform leasing, marketing, customer service, and administrative duties. This role is crucial in ensuring that both prospective and current residents receive exceptional service and support throughout their leasing experience. The Leasing Agent greets prospective and current residents in a warm and welcoming manner, conducts property tours, and compiles and processes residential applications. They will navigate and update data through the property management software, coordinate lease signings, and conduct move-in orientations for new residents. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will assist with resident services as needed, log and audit resident packages received throughout the day, and perform unit inspections to ensure market readiness. It is essential for the Leasing Agent to adhere to organizational policies and procedures as well as Minnesota Fair Housing laws, ensuring compliance and promoting a positive living environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective and current residents in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Conduct property tours for potential residents.
  • Compile and process residential applications.
  • Navigate and update data through the property management software.

  • Assist with resident services as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills with an understanding of the Internet and its uses for marketing.
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service or sales related field, preferably in property management.
