About the position

The Leasing and Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing leasing and marketing operations for a designated community. This role focuses on converting community leads into prospects and ultimately residents, ensuring a positive leasing experience from initial inquiry to move-in. The ideal candidate should possess a caring attitude and a strong desire to connect with potential residents, making them feel at home.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert knowledge about the assigned community and its benefits.
  • Keep accurate leasing and property records, ensuring the CRM is current and following up per best practices.
  • Cultivate a positive customer service culture.
  • Guide and collaborate with the leasing team to ensure reputation management and social media presence are up to date.
  • Conduct physical property inspections to ensure tour paths and curb appeal meet best practices.
  • Convert community leads to prospects by providing knowledgeable information about the community and neighborhood.
  • Assist the Resident Manager and service teams in problem resolution to deliver an exceptional move-in experience.
  • Conduct informative and personalized tours of the apartment community that result in new leases.
  • Work with future residents during their application process and complete lease files according to best practices upon approval.
  • Conduct renewal meetings to understand residents' needs and prepare renewal lease packages accordingly.
  • Report all liability and property incidents to the Community Manager or Resident Manager immediately.

Requirements

  • Background in customer service, sales, leasing, marketing, or hospitality experience.
  • Successful track record of accomplishment in relevant fields.
  • Must have or obtain a leasing license or broker's license within 120 days of hire as required by law.
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Personable and energetic with a strong desire to help and service consumers.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Yardi and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams).
