About the position

Investors' Property Services is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our growing operations in the Houston, Texas market. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary of $18 - $20 per hour, plus commissions based on performance. The Leasing Consultant will play a crucial role in the leasing, marketing, and maintenance of positive resident relations for both residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leases from potential and existing clients, coordinating property viewings, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be tasked with executing new lease agreements and coordinating the move-in processes for new tenants. You will prepare all lease-related paperwork and implement marketing strategies to generate traffic to our rental listings. Additionally, you will respond to queries and leads, conduct property inspections, and support the legal and general advisory needs associated with our large-scale real estate portfolio. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. The Leasing Consultant will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of our property management operations. Responsibilities

  • Manages leases from potential and existing clients.
  • Coordinates property viewings, follow-ups, and updates to the contact management database.
  • Markets all rental listings through individual showings.
  • Coordinates and schedules lease applications and adheres to compliance requirements.
  • Executes new lease agreements and coordinates move-in processes.
  • Prepares all lease-related paperwork.
  • Plans and implements marketing strategies to generate traffic.
  • Manages regulatory and compliance-related services.
  • Responds to queries/leads and conducts property inspections.
  • Supports legal and general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Internet Software, Word, and Property Management Software (RESMAN).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
