About The Position

The Leasing Consultant at Adara at Seatac is responsible for managing all activities related to apartment rentals, including move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents, ensuring maximum occupancy, resident retention, and overall client satisfaction. The consultant will also maintain accurate records, coordinate with maintenance for apartment readiness, and assist in resident relations and activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Minimum of one year of previous sales experience is preferred.
  • One year of previous residential leasing experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with all levels of management.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.
  • Capability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
  • Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction.
  • Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork.
  • Ensure model apartments are in touring condition.
  • Orient prospective and current residents to the property.
  • Process renewal paperwork and ensure documentation is delivered to current residents monthly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity by entering applicable information into the computer.
  • Follow up with all prospective residents via phone, mail, or email.
  • Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments with prospective residents for property tours.
  • Inspect apartments prior to resident move-ins and ensure they are in move-in condition by coordinating with the maintenance team.
  • Create and maintain confidential resident files, reviewing move-in paperwork with new residents.
  • Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and timely.
  • Ensure all open and close procedures are completed daily.
  • Assist with ongoing resident relations throughout the occupant's tenancy by responding to requests promptly and accurately.
  • Shop competitive properties and inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with processing work order requests for residents and ensure timely completion.
  • Support management with clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices.
  • Assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable health and safety regulations.
