About the position

The Joseph Group, a locally owned and operated real estate company, is seeking motivated and driven Leasing/Field Agents to join our team in Edmonds, WA. We specialize in providing comprehensive services for real estate investors, focusing on single-family homes, condos, and townhomes. This is an exciting opportunity to enter the leasing business, which is currently thriving. As a Leasing/Field Agent, you will play a crucial role in our operations, helping to generate leads and manage properties effectively. We are committed to training the right candidates, even if they have no prior leasing experience. Our award-winning marketing and advertising efforts will support you in generating business, but you will also be encouraged and compensated for your own lead generation efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for performing property surveys, creating detailed move-in and move-out reports, and providing exceptional customer service to both property owners and tenants. You will need to comply with federal Fair Housing laws and local regulations, as well as understand the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants as outlined by the Attorney General. We are looking for individuals who are excellent communicators, skilled in face-to-face and phone sales, and possess strong multitasking and organizational abilities. Proficiency in online business solutions such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, along with a dependable vehicle and a flexible work schedule. Many agents work nights and weekends, but you will have control over your own schedule. A positive attitude, loyalty, and a self-starting nature are key traits we value in our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform efficient property surveys.
  • Create detailed move-in and move-out reports.
  • Provide customer service related to property owner and tenant needs prior to and leading up to tenancy.
  • Comply with federal Fair Housing laws, statutes, and regulations, as well as local laws and ordinances.
  • Understand landlord and tenant rights and responsibilities as provided by the Attorney General.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • Ability to use Slack for communication.
  • No prior experience required, but administrative experience is a plus.
  • Real Estate License preferred but not required; assistance in obtaining one will be provided.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Dependable vehicle for travel.
  • Flexible work schedule, including availability for nights and weekends.
  • Ability to use a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) effectively.
  • Quick learner who adapts well to change.
  • Open, honest, trustworthy, and dependable character.
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in rental property management (2 years preferred).
  • Previous sales experience.
