About The Position

The University of Hawai'i is seeking applicants for the lecturer applicant pool in the Business Administration Division, specifically in Hospitality and Tourism. This is a part-time position, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. The selected candidate must be available to teach courses both online and in person, during the day, evening, or weekend.

Requirements

• Master's degree in relevant discipline for lecturers in Tourism / Hospitality.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
• Experience working in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the Business Administration Division in Hospitality and Tourism.
• Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
• Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
• Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
• As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
