About the position

As a Legal Administrative Assistant at Gurstel Law Firm, P.C., you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by performing a variety of administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of our practice. The Firm, a multi-state litigation law firm, specializes in representing creditors throughout the legal collection process. With a strong emphasis on developing litigation skills and strategies, we are committed to maintaining a high standard of service for our clients. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for documenting account and file activity in accordance with both the Firm's and client policies, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded in our system of record. You will also generate pleadings and other legal documents for attorney review, which requires attention to detail and a solid understanding of legal terminology. Filing documents with the courts, both through traditional and electronic methods, will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will perform general clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, photocopying, collating, and faxing, contributing to the overall efficiency of the office. We are looking for a responsible individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and professionally will be essential in this role, as you will interact with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Responsibilities

  • Document account/file activity in accordance with the Firm and client policies into the Firm's system of record.
  • Generate pleadings and other legal documents for attorney review.
  • File documents with the courts via traditional and electronic filing methods.
  • Perform general clerical duties including data entry, scanning, photocopying, collating, and faxing.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Responsible individual who can work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with basic office hardware such as scanners, fax machines, and copiers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
