About the position

We are a law firm that specializes in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, seeking a reliable and dedicated Legal Assistant/Intake Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is based in our Salt Lake City office, where you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys during the intake process. Your primary responsibility will be to interview potential clients over the phone to gather detailed descriptions of their claims. This involves summarizing the client's story for our attorneys to review, which is essential for building strong cases. In addition to client interviews, you will be responsible for various administrative tasks, including making and receiving phone calls, saving files, scanning, copying, and filing documents. This is an entry-level position, and we welcome candidates who may not have previous experience but possess the right attitude and skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating over the phone, have a background in customer service, and experience working with medical records. We value excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, accountability, self-motivation, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is essential. A strong commitment to delivering value to clients is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Interview potential clients over the phone to obtain a description of their claim.
