About the position

Robert Half is searching for a full-time Legal Assistant to join an international law firm in Chicago, Illinois. This role will support the growing Cybersecurity Practice. As a Legal Assistant, you will be primarily involved in supporting multiple attorneys, tracking projects, monitoring changes in relevant statutes, and preparing internal update reports. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure smooth communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders. You will be responsible for meticulously tracking various projects and vendor expenses, ensuring that all information is updated and accurate. Additionally, you will monitor changes to relevant statutes, staying updated with the latest developments in the legal and cybersecurity domains, which is crucial for the firm's operations. In this role, you will prepare internal update reports, presenting information in a clear and concise manner. Strong organizational skills are essential, as you will be managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. You will utilize your strong computer skills to work with various software applications, including Excel, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ShareFile, Chrome River, and Teams. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will need to ensure accuracy in all tasks. The ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time and resources efficiently is also critical. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to different work styles and requirements as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related role within the legal industry
  • Proficient in Case Management Software to handle and organize legal documents efficiently
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
