About the position

We are currently seeking a full-time legal assistant to join our amazing Family Law firm located in Cary, NC. This position is ideal for a sympathetic listener who possesses outstanding communication and organization skills. The successful candidate will be able to convey empathy both in person and over the phone, demonstrating patience, helpfulness, and support in all interactions. The legal assistant will be responsible for various administrative duties, including organizing and scanning documents, opening new case files, and preparing copies. Additionally, the role involves maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and creating tasks and deadlines. As one of the first points of contact for clients and potential clients, the legal assistant will play a crucial role in representing our firm. The position requires assisting other team members with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations within the office. Our office operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and this is a full-time in-office position. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate a business phone system and basic office equipment
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook and Word
  • Experience with law firm practice management software is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task
