Gpac is partnered with a reputable law firm dedicated to providing high-quality legal services, and is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys, managing legal documents, and assisting with various legal tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that the legal office operates efficiently and effectively. The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing case files. In this position, the Legal Assistant will assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts. They will conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies. Additionally, the Legal Assistant will manage and organize case files, ensuring that all documents are accurately maintained. Scheduling appointments, hearings, and meetings will also be part of their responsibilities, along with communicating with clients and court personnel as needed. The role requires preparing and proofreading legal correspondence and documents, answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing communication as necessary. Furthermore, the Legal Assistant will coordinate and facilitate document filing, both electronically and in physical files, and assist in general administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the legal office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Legal Studies or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research, document preparation, and case management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
