About the position

The Level II Staff RN in the OB/GYN clinic is responsible for providing professional nursing care as a leader of the healthcare team. This role involves utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures, while demonstrating quality and effectiveness in clinical practice. The RN will ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction, while also mentoring and guiding other team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
• Document nursing interventions and evaluations accurately.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Practice customer service standards and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new employees and team members.

Requirements

• 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in L&D, antepartum testing, FCC/Post Partum, OB/GYN or Women's Health in an acute or ambulatory setting.
• 1-year recent full-time equivalent NST experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse License in California.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate.
• Basic Life Support certification.
