About the position
The Independent Living Life Enrichment Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for Independent Living Residents at Westminster Village. This position involves planning, leading, and facilitating a variety of activities and events that promote resident satisfaction and engagement. The assistant will work closely with the Life Enrichment Team to ensure that programs meet the needs and interests of the residents, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and facilitate activities, programs, and wellness/fitness events for residents.
- Utilize community resources, residents, volunteers, and entertainers to schedule activities and special events.
- Encourage and invite family participation in activities.
- Communicate with other departments and staff to ensure successful programming.
- Publicize programming to residents, visitors, volunteers, and departments through various communication channels.
- Support opportunities and transportation for residents to engage in community activities.
- Assist with welcoming new residents and associates.
- Maintain adequate supply and activity equipment while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
Requirements
- Must enjoy interacting with the elderly population.
- Must be able to communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Weekend and evening availability is preferred.
Benefits
