About the position
The Life Insurance Sales Agent role at Kemper involves providing insurance solutions to modest-income families through personal visits and dedicated service. Agents will work with an existing book of business while having the opportunity to grow their client base. This position emphasizes a pay-for-performance model, allowing agents to increase their income based on their sales success and customer service efforts.
Responsibilities
- Conducting sales presentations and recommending products to potential clients.
- Closing sales and utilizing the Customer Care Sales Model effectively.
- Continuously prospecting for new sales opportunities.
- Collecting premiums from policyholders according to a pre-arranged schedule.
- Responding promptly to service requests from policyholders, including beneficiary changes and claims.
- Maintaining accurate records and accounting for money collected, as well as processing necessary paperwork.
- Increasing the agency size and building strong relationships with customers.
- Committing to ongoing development of knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is required.
- Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with 100k/300k auto insurance coverage is necessary.
- Dependable vehicle is required for daily travel.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
