About the position
The Life Insurance Sales Agent role at Kemper involves providing insurance solutions to modest-income families through personal visits and sales presentations. Agents will work with an existing book of business and have the opportunity to grow their client base while receiving training and support. This position emphasizes a pay-for-performance model, allowing agents to increase their income based on their sales success.
Responsibilities
- Conducting sales presentations and recommending products to potential clients.
- Closing sales and utilizing the Customer Care Sales Model effectively.
- Continuously prospecting for new sales opportunities.
- Collecting premiums from policyholders according to a pre-arranged schedule.
- Responding promptly to policyholder service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans.
- Maintaining accurate records and accounting for money collected, as well as processing necessary paperwork.
- Increasing the agency size and building strong relationships with customers.
- Devoting necessary time to fulfill job responsibilities and committing to ongoing development of knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is required.
- Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with 100k/300k auto insurance coverage is necessary.
- Dependable vehicle is required for daily travel.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-haves
