About The Position

The Line MX Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing aircraft, powerplants, components, and structures, ensuring compliance with maintenance data and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance instructions and documentation practices, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance and repair of commercial category aircraft.
• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license required.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and days off.
• Engine run qualified preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Boeing aircraft models B737, B747, B767, B777.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft, powerplants, components, and structure.
• Read and interpret all maintenance instructions such as AMMs, SRMs, WDMs, IPCs, EAs, routine task cards, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair discrepancies as necessary, ensuring compliance with approved maintenance data.
• Document all work performed in accordance with Kalitta Air and FAA requirements.
• Document any discrepancies identified during maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to all Kalitta Air and FAA policies and procedures.
• Follow Kalitta Air safety rules and procedures, reporting any safety-related deficiencies.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, or Foreman.
