Boeing Talent Acquisition is looking for a pool of talented applicants to fill future positions as a Linux and Systems Administrator to join their team in El Segundo, California. This position will design, install, operate, secure, and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. In this role, you will lead Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure. You will work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules. Your responsibilities will include performing a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities, designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and providing maintenance of systems hardware, software, and components. You will ensure that the Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Additionally, you will develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. You will determine and develop approaches to solutions, receiving general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Your contributions will be vital to the completion of specific programs and projects, and you will interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers. Representing the organization, you will provide solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring the selected candidate to work at our El Segundo, CA location. An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance is required for this position, and U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in integrating hardware and software components.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 5 years experience architecting, designing, and implementing a DevOps infrastructure for a program.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and frameworks.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.).
