About the position

The Linux System Administrator (TS/SCI) position at General Dynamics Mission Systems involves managing enterprise-class systems and specialized Linux operating systems within a cross-functional team. The role requires a strong focus on security, troubleshooting, and customer service, with responsibilities including the application of security guidelines and managing cross-domain solutions. This position is fully on-site and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise-class systems and specialized Linux OS.
• Perform command line administration of Red Hat Linux.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting of operating systems and associated hardware/software.
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and mitigate vulnerabilities as directed by Information Assurance (IA).
• Manage cross-domain enterprise-level solutions.
• Re-image workstations, servers, and databases, both physical and virtual.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and system/server builds.
• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills.
