The Linux System Administrator position at ISPA Technology is a critical role that directly supports the U.S. Military by providing mission-critical software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the Warfighter by ensuring system stability, security, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including DISA STIGs. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies such as containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform). Additionally, the position offers travel opportunities to support deployments and troubleshooting, which will allow you to broaden your horizons and expand your skillset. The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux skills, ACAS expertise, and VMware knowledge, along with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance and DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Secure systems and ensure compliance with DoD standards.
  • Deploy containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Leverage automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and security professionals.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Provision virtual machines using VMware vCenter.
  • Support deployments and troubleshooting through occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux skills including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in ACAS for vulnerability scans and credentialed scan results.
  • Knowledge of VMware for provisioning virtual machines.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
