About the position

The Linux System Administrator position at ISPA Technology is a critical role that directly supports the U.S. Military by providing mission-critical software solutions. This position is based in Panama City Beach, FL, and is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments where their skills can significantly impact national security. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Linux to secure systems, deploy cutting-edge technologies, and ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of talented software engineers and security professionals, making a real difference by protecting the Warfighter. Your responsibilities will include deploying containerization solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as utilizing automation tools like Ansible and Terraform. You will also be tasked with ensuring system stability, security, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including DISA STIGs. The position offers travel opportunities, allowing you to broaden your horizons by supporting deployments and troubleshooting as needed. Responsibilities

  • Secure systems and ensure compliance with DoD standards.
  • Deploy containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and security professionals.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Provision virtual machines using VMware vCenter.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux skills including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in ACAS for vulnerability scans and credentialed scan results.
  • Knowledge of VMware for provisioning virtual machines.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.
  • College degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience with container technologies and automation tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
