The administrator will be responsible for overseeing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, specifically VMware Horizon and Citrix VDI, ensuring that these systems operate efficiently and securely. In addition to system administration, the role involves in-depth experience with identity management tools such as Active Directory, LDAP, and Centrify. The administrator will also utilize Infoblox for core network services and employ monitoring tools like Nagios and Splunk to maintain system health and performance. Automation is a key component of this position, with skills in scripting and experience with configuration management tools like Salt and Ansible being crucial for streamlining operations. The Linux Systems Administrator will lead security vulnerability assessments and mitigation efforts, leveraging advanced features of Tenable Nessus to protect the organization's infrastructure. Experience with Linux provisioning server tools, such as Kickstart and Cobbler, is essential for automating network-based installations of various operating systems. The role also includes developing and implementing sophisticated security strategies that contribute to the enterprise's overall cyber framework. This position requires enterprise-level management of Hyper-converged Infrastructure and vendor hardware and software across multiple data centers. Familiarity with Atlassian's suite, including Jira and Confluence, is necessary for effective team collaboration and project management. Additionally, experience with ServiceNow or other enterprise digital workflow tools is expected to facilitate efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • 5-9 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.
  • CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent certification required by 6/30/2024.
  • IAT Level II Certification required.
  • VMware Certified Professional, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, or Red Hat Certified Engineer certifications are a plus.
