Responsibilities

  • Onboarding consumer and residential loans and processing loan modifications.
  • Reviewing General Ledger accounts related to loan onboarding and processing transactions to clear.
  • Performing review of loan documents to extract and analyze critical data for input of consumer and residential loans into the loan servicing system.
  • Performing verification of note and write-up for dollar amount, effective date and loan authority prior to processing new loan funding.
  • Processing Change In Terms (CITs), renewals, modifications and extensions on existing loans.
  • Completing peer review of loans and CITs for accuracy.
  • Processing all fee transactions relating to loan settlement.
  • Monitoring Loans in Process accounts to ensure outstanding items are cleared within three (3) working days.
  • Ensuring all appropriate documentation is received and maintained to meet or exceed compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintaining or exceeding published service level standards for all workflow channels.
  • Escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Reviewing credit and loan documentation to ensure proper uploading on all loans.
  • Staying current and up to date with products, services, and procedures for various types of loans.
  • Using critical thinking skills to analyze multifaceted issues, develop effective solutions, and apply logical reasoning to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Completing work with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Responding to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Handling direct communications, both written and verbal, with customers and other parties.
  • Handling customer telephone calls.
  • Coordinating specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  • Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiling information as necessary or as directed and providing data to appropriate personnel.
  • Preparing and processing requests in accordance with applicable procedures and policies to ensure compliant collateral perfection.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
  • Performing tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year related experience in loan operations - consumer, residential and commercial normally required.
  • Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Moderate typing and PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less.
  • Visual, auditory and speaking skills.
