About The Position

The Logistics / Dispatch Supervisor at OnePoint Patient Care is responsible for overseeing the dispatch staff and ensuring efficient logistics operations across multiple locations. This role involves hiring, training, and managing the dispatch team, monitoring delivery processes, and addressing logistical issues to maintain high-quality customer service for hospice patients. The supervisor will also implement cost-saving initiatives and facilitate effective communication between pharmacy and service delivery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Communications, or related field
  • Four or more years' experience in Transportation, Logistics, and Distribution
  • Experience managing or supervising transportation and logistics functions
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, and supervises dispatch staff in Arizona and Illinois
  • Manages scheduling of dispatch staff to ensure proper coverage throughout the day
  • Monitors and ensures that current processes and procedures are being followed within the delivery department
  • Responds to and finds solutions to logistic issues that are identified
  • Communicates effectively to pharmacy and service delivery teams regarding logistical concerns
  • Ensures high quality and accuracy of customer deliveries
  • Routinely trains and mentors courier partners and drivers on the importance of customer service when delivering to hospice patients
  • Works to implement cost-saving initiatives within the logistics department and with courier partners
  • Assists courier partners with route scheduling to maximize efficiencies and timeliness of deliveries
  • Confers with customers and team members to resolve questions, problems, and requests
  • Facilitates and manages mail order deliveries
  • Advises team members and coordinates accident protocol/procedures
  • Quality control of deliveries in each of our pharmacy markets
  • Communicates and provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and pharmacy team members, providing feedback, comments, questions, concerns
  • Exceeds quality customer service standards by phone and in person
