About the position

As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, which include security systems, CCTV, telecommunication systems, and fire alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of system design and layout for new installations or upgrades, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and diagnose issues with low voltage systems, testing and verifying their functionality and performance to meet the required standards. Your responsibilities will also include installing and terminating wiring and cables for low voltage systems, programming and configuring system settings, and collaborating with team members to ensure successful project completion. This position demands a detail-oriented approach, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks performed. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with both team members and clients to deliver high-quality service and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security systems, CCTV, telecommunication systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Perform system design and layout for new installations or upgrades.

Requirements

  • Proficient in working with low voltage systems, including security systems, CCTV, telecommunication systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of system design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in low voltage installations.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair system components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in work.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in IDS (Intrusion Detection System) is a plus.
