LPN-Physician Clinic Office-Family Medicine-FT-Day Shift

About the position

The LPN position at Merit Health River Region involves assisting licensed medical providers in the examination and treatment of patients in a family medicine clinic setting. The role includes performing patient interviews, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms, among other responsibilities, to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a licensed medical provider.
• Perform patient interviews and prepare patients for provider's care.
• Measure vital signs and observe and report patient's signs and symptoms.
• Record information on patient charts accurately.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examination and provide basic first aid.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures and/or collect routine laboratory specimens within the scope of practice.
• Assist with patient ambulation and the use of assistive devices.

Requirements

• Graduate of a practical nursing program.
• Current Mississippi LPN licensure is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Prior clinic nursing experience is preferred.
