About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Packaging Engineering Team and perform activities related to the development of packaging for upcoming models and improve current processes within Lucid logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging systems/design and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our designs are functioning efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with packaging engineers to ensure that Packaging designs meet functional, technical, and cost requirements.
• Support cost savings initiatives for current and future programs.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges across inbound part logistics.
• Establish cross-functional relationships within Lucid to enhance part movement efficiency.
• Speak directly with tier 1 suppliers, specifically regarding applicable packaging designs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program.
• Strong understanding of packaging systems/design.
• Ability to work with a large amount of data and utilize Excel for various analysis tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for speaking with Lucid tier 1 partners and vendors.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Field(s) of study: Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering.
• Use of CAD systems (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks) for package concepting, entry level acceptable.
